A Study on the Production of Exoenzymes by Pseudomonas

Abstract
|
|
|
The author carried out a study on the production of exoenzymes by Pseudcnzonas aeruginwsa isolated from the medical instruments of a certain hospital in Busan, Korea.
The results obtained were as follows:
1. Among the 133 strains tested, the number of strains producing protease was 82 (61. 7%) and the number of strains producing elastase was 59 (44.4%).
2. The number of strains producing protease and elastase simultaneously was 57 (49. 9%), protease alone was 25 (18. 8%), elastase alone was 2 (1.5%) and the number of strains not producing both exoenzymes was 49(36.8%).
